Naga in Petaluma, CA
December 13 to April 1
Venue
Petaluma Fairgrounds, CA
Where
Just inside the main gate- you can’t miss him!
Naga is on display in Petaluma, CA at the fairgrounds for the winter!
We are very pleased to partner with the City of Petaluma to share Naga for the winter on the fairgrounds lawn. Much thanks to the City for providing a free workspace for us to finish and repair Naga. Finding space to build industrial art this large is incredibly difficult and expensive. We are so glad to have found this win-win situation.
Naga is up as of now! Come visit him, and go ice skating at Luma Ice now until Jan 7th. Our fundraising crew party with Pirate ice skating is happening Friday evening, Dec 27th.
What are we doing on Naga while he’s here? See more below:

Refurbishment
Naga was built for Burning Man in August of 2024. The majority of the build was completed in four months, by a team of over 200 volunteers. In that time we were only able to do so much, and were not able to add his fins for his debut. (He’s quite cute without them though)
As you can see, he now has fins!
We still have some refinements to make, finlets to transition from fin to body, and lumps in belly scales to smooth out. We will also be working on his head, remaking some scales that were made in a hurry, and lastly will be replacing his tail fin.
Whats next for Naga?
This spring, he will be moving on to a park in San Francisco. We are grateful he has this time in Petaluma to molt before he has to go!
For the winter though, we are going to let him rest, and guard the fairgrounds, where he is enjoying the company of the geese.
